Dear HHTA leaders,

 The Resource Group is organizing 2  Dialogue sessions on the themes of Sustainable Schools and Guest Houses.  

Sustainable schools (Petit Goave) Sunday June 3rd – Petit-Goave at 1pm to 3pm at  Ecole Decilus Monice – 001 2eme Ruelle Benoit, Petit Goave.

We will explore how Diaspora and local communities can invest in a business or develop a model that would help school to generate revenues. Friends of Petit Goave will present the Bakery at Ecole Decilus Monice project sponsored by IAF and the HHTARG.  John Engle – Haiti Partners will share is experience with Natif – Natal foundation in Iles de la Gonave. UNIF will share its new model “working College” (representative to be confirmed). Moderator Dr Marcien Pierre HHTARG will facilitate the discussion.

Guest houses (Fonds des Blancs): Monday June 4th – Fonds des Blancs – at  2pm to 4pm – CODEF

We will discuss the network that the HHTARG is building and the opportunities for local communities..  Pastor Jean Thomas CODEF,  Carl Henry Jacques from COOP TOUR, Regine Alexandre Zafen Special Project Director and Daniel Jean-Louis Parterns worldwide (invited). Moderator Patrice Jourdain Bar association of Quebec will facilitate the discussion

On Saturday March 31st the RG will be holding a small forum where we plan to formally present the Diaspora Investment Fund (DIF) to HTAs. The forum will be held at St. Monica's Hall 47 Sterling Place, Brooklyn, NY just down from Sixth Avenue, from 1pm-4pm. read more
